It's Horizon Zero Dawn - there is no debate on this.

I'm not so sure, I have tried getting into Horizon the last week or two and have to admit I have struggled with it. I found it compelling at first but as soon as the open world nature fo the game set in I found it very messy and simply have not been enjoying it. Resident Evil VII is no way near as big but it's certainly as ambitious - Switching the very foundation of the gameplay mechanics on it's head with a first person perspective yet feeling very remeniscent of the older titles. I honestly wasn't excpecting to enjoy RE7 as much as i did as I generally don't go for first person games but I found the story and character captivating which is something I've not been able to say about RE since RE3. So RE7 gets my vote.

Im sad to see that I was the only person who voted for Ys VIII. Obviously no one else played the game. I voted for Horizon on this battle simply cause it held my attention a whole lot longer than REVII (though now that I got a PSVR, I should restart VII).

On a side note, only 7 votes total this year? Thats pretty disappointing.

There just aren't that many active people here unfortunately.  I wish more of the NA members would stop by, but often they find it's easier to have conversations about PlayStation topics over there instead of having them here.  I'm guilty of it as well.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I've tried to lure some over before but I've basically been met with this.  It's unfortunate.

As far as voting goes, I abstained as the only game from this year I've played is RE7 and it seems wrong to me to just vote for the one game I played.

Meh.  That's what I did.

Its what it is I guess. I hate going to NA most of the time. Its full of "Whats this week's hidden NES gem?" or some crap like that. So many threads about nothing that its hard to sift through to find something of value to read.

Oh I'm used to all that now, yet I still try push the same consistency of quality to such things - don't always exceed but at least i'm doing stuff about it.

But January the 8th is upon us, one more day... should it proceed to a tie like it is now, I will keep it actie until someone makes a move
